At the time, most coffee in Honduras was grown using chemicals. Production was high, but coffee quality and prices were low, meaning many farmers struggled to cover their costs.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThey focused on improving coffee quality and encouraging organic, chemical-free farming. Over the years, the cooperative has grown to around 1,200 members who now produce high-quality organic specialty coffee. They also own their own warehouses and coffee processing plant.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCOMSA is also committed to supporting its farming community. As well as agriculture, they focus on education and social development.
